Arsenal are very interested in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani as Andrea Berta considers long-term options for the Gunners’ number one jersey.
Right now, David Raya very much remains the long-term option between the sticks for the North London club, although other shot stoppers are now being eyed.
The 20-year-old Milan keeper has now been added to Berta’s list of targets and could become an option during next summer’s window.
During pre-season, the Italian youth international saved a penalty from Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard.

Arsenal are very keen on signing AC Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani
Arsenal are very keen on signing AC Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani and are monitoring his situation, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Currently, Torriani is playing for Milan Futuro in Serie D, but he could be sent out on loan to a club in the second tier of Italian football in January.
The Rossoneri are set to decide the youngster’s future next summer and discuss the potential pathway into the first team at the San Siro.
The Italian giants will know that the Gunners are waiting in the wings to see what the 20-year-old decides about his future.
Is David Raya the best goalkeeper Arsenal have ever had? If not, who is it?
But it’s clear that Berta has added Torriani to his list of targets, and their interest could sway him to leave Milan next summer.
One of the jobs for the newly appointed scout, Maurizio Micheli, was to find a long-term successor for Raya, and Torriani appears to be one of the options.
Lorenzo Torriani stunned Arsenal during pre-season
Torriani has already had his audition in front of Mikel Arteta as he stunned Arsenal during their pre-season tour of Asia.
In the 24 minutes he played, the goalkeeper made five saves and also stopped three penalties during the shootout to determine the winner.
Arsenal ended up losing the match in 90 minutes, 1-0, and will have been miffed how they failed to score past the Italian youth international.
It’s clear that the goalkeeper is highly rated at the San Siro, and it would be a big coup for Arsenal to prise him away from them.
