Arsenal could still sign Victor Osimhen this summer, as the Napoli striker has made it clear what he wants to happen next.
Arsenal are keen to add a striker to their ranks in this summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has already explored a number of potential targets. The Gunners missed out on Benjamin Sesko, and have also been linked with the likes of Ivan Toney and Joshua Zirkzee, amongst others.
Arsenal have been linked with Viktor Gyokeres, and Dominic Solanke has also been named as a target for the North London club.
However, none of those aforementioned strikers have the same prestige as Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward is one of the most exciting talents in Europe, and fired Napoli to a historic Serie A title triumph in 2023.
Now, the 25-year-old is keen to move on from the Italian club.

Arsenal still in the race to sign Victor Osimhen
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are still “in the running” to sign Osimhen this summer. However, the attacker is also wanted by PSG and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen himself is now desperate for his future to be resolved as quickly as possible. He wants to leave Napoli, and is hoping to strike a deal with a new club as soon as he can.
If Arsenal are serious about securing the forward’s services, then Arteta will need to take heed of Osimhen’s demand and take action immediately.
However, that is not to suggest that this will be a straightforward deal that could be completed quickly. Napoli will drive a hard bargain over their asking price, and the Gunners will also have to come to an agreement over the striker’s personal terms.
Should Arsenal push to sign Osimhen?
Signing Osimhen would represent a real statement of intent. Arsenal would be sending a clear message to the rest of the Premier League, and Manchester City in particular, indicating that they mean business.
However, with Premier League spending rules being policed more tightly than ever, the Gunners must ensure that such a deal is within their means before committing to signing the 35-cap Nigeria international.
Despite Osimhen being keen for his future to be resolved as soon as possible, Arsenal may well need to get further sales over the line before they can consider making a formal approach for his services.
