There will be a lot of movement at Arsenal this summer.
The Gunners are expected to be very busy on the transfer market. They need reinforcements in several areas of their pitch, while a few of their own players could look for moves away from the club as well.
Andrea Berta is the one calling all the shots now, and along with Mikel Arteta, he will decide who to keep and who to let go.
One surprise name could be pushed out the door this summer.
Arsenal could sell Gabriel Martinelli
Gabriel Martinelli is one of Arsenal’s longest-serving players.
The Brazilian joined the Gunners from Ituano in the summer of 2019, when he was just a teenager. He impressed everyone in his debut season and became a fan favourite.
Now 23, Martinelli has played 225 games for Arsenal in all competitions and is a full Brazil international.
Many felt Martinelli would become a ‘superstar’ a few years ago, but he hasn’t fully hit the heights that we thought he was capable of.
That’s probably why Arsenal are ready to sell him.
GiveMeSport claim that ‘Arteta has refused to rule out’ selling Martinelli this summer, and the Gunners are said to be showing signs that he could be offloaded.
It has been revealed that Italian giants AC Milan are interested in the Arsenal number 11 as a potential replacement for Rafael Leao.
Reports have claimed that Arsenal value Martinelli at over £50 million.

Gabriel Martinelli’s stance on his Arsenal future
Martinelli has always said that he loves Arsenal and has not thought about leaving the club.
That stance has not changed.
The report claims that the Brazilian is willing to stay and fight for his place under Arteta at Arsenal next season, even if a new winger is signed.
Martinelli’s current contract at Arsenal does not expire until the summer of 2027, and the Gunners even have an option to extend that by another year.
We think Arsenal should keep Martinelli. Only an astronomical offer should change anything.
