Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has discussed the situation surrounding his contract and a possible stay at the club in the future.
The winger has impressed ever since he made the move to the Gunners as a youngster from fourth-tier Brazilian outfit Ituano.
Roughly £6million was paid to sign the pacey forward, who started out in the Hale End academy before being given a chance in the Arsenal senior team.
Gabriel Martinelli hasn’t looked back since, causing plenty of problems for the opposition full-backs over the years.
There has been some uncertainty over his future, though, heading into the summer transfer window.

Gabriel Martinelli claims he is happy at Arsenal amid contract situation
Gabriel Martinelli has two years left on his contract, with an apparent option of another year on that, which could see him stay for a bit longer.
There has been some uncertainty over his future, however, due to a multitude of reasons within the squad.
One is that Arsenal are looking at signing a winger in the summer, a move that could dislodge him on the left wing and create more competition.
It’s an area that the 23-year-old is already competing with Leandro Trossard for, suggesting one of the pair could be set for an exit.
On top of that, there has been transfer interest in Martinelli from clubs abroad, suggesting an offer could be on its way in the months ahead.
Despite all of that, the Brazilian is adamant he is happy at Arsenal when asked about his contract situation at the club.
Speaking before the match with PSG, the winger said: “I mean, I always said that I’m really happy here.
“This is my home, I love to be here, I love the club. The club has given me so much, not just on the pitch but off the pitch as well. I’ve improved a lot with the club.
“Of course, on the pitch is important, but off the pitch as well. The club has been amazing with me, the people who work at the club, the fans and everything. Yeah, I’m really happy here.”
It certainly suggests there is no indication of an exit from Martinelli’s side of things, with the winger being back to his best in recent weeks.

Gabriel Martinelli has been back to his best form at Arsenal
At points this season, there has been some criticism of Arsenal’s attack, with Thierry Henry criticising Gabriel Martinelli at one stage for not being brave enough and driving forward on the ball.
That seems to have shifted in recent weeks, with the Brazilian driving the Gunners through in some big matches.
Martinelli’s late goal against Real Madrid sealed the deal at the Bernabeu, displaying his usual pace and great finishing in front of goal.
Add another strike against Ipswich in the following match, and the winger is clearly a man back in form.
He could be key when Arsenal face PSG in the Champions League semi-final, with both teams needing their key forwards to step up.
