Andrea Berta has several strikers across Europe on his Arsenal transfer wishlist, with the window set to open on Sunday.

The Gunners’ priority this summer is signing a prolific striker, with Mikel Arteta eager to add someone who can compete with and potentially usurp Kai Havertz in the pecking order.

Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres are Arsenal’s primary targets, although the likes of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike have also been linked with a switch to N5.

Berta has established a 12-man shortlist of forwards that he’s looking to pursue, although he is likely to keep his options open beyond that, with additional names still being mooted as targets for the North Londoners.

Arsenal are in direct contact with Stuttgart for Nick Woltemade

Arsenal are in direct contact with Stuttgart over the possibility of signing Nick Woltemade this summer, according to CaughtOffside.

The forward has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in Germany, netting 17 goals and providing three assists in all competitions.

Stuttgart are said to be willing to accept offers in the region of €45–50 million (£37-£42 million) for the 23-year-old.

However, Arsenal will face significant competition for Woltemade, with the likes of Napoli, Atletico Madrid and West Ham all also in the race to land the talented German.

Previously at Werder Bremen, the 2024/25 season was Woltemade’s breakout campaign in the German top flight.

Impressing with his exceptional technical ability and raw physical attributes, the versatile attacker can be deployed across the front line and would add tactical flexibility to Arteta’s ranks.

Woltemade has been tipped to provide cover for Harry Kane at Bayern Munich by Sky Sports, and many in Germany feel he could be the long-term successor to the ex-Tottenham star at the Allianz.

This certainly speaks volumes about his potential moving forward.

Isak is likely to prove too expensive for Arsenal, while there remain question marks surrounding both Gyokeres and Sesko.

As shown by the data above, the Germany under-21 international boasts an impressive array of attributes, offering both goal threat and a creative threat.

Also an astute dribbler, he’s exceptionally well-rounded, and the underlying metrics suggest his output is certainly sustainable.

He may need another move to a Premier League club, like the rumoured West Ham, before making the step up to Arsenal, but he’s certainly one for Berta to watch out for.
