Benjamin Sesko has broken his silence on his future amid transfer links to Arsenal.
Arsenal have held an interest in the Slovenian for some time, with the summer transfer window presenting an opportunity for the Gunners to finally acquire a goalscorer.
David Ornstein has reported that Andrea Berta sees Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres as the firmest options to explore ahead of the window.
While Berta is understood to love Gyokeres, it has now emerged that it is in fact Sesko who is Arsenal’s number one target.

Benjamin Sesko breaks silence on Arsenal transfer links
Berta has made contact with RB Leipzig director Marcel Schafer over the possibility of signing Sesko this summer.
The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals over the 2024/25 campaign for Leipzig, triggering attention from clubs worldwide, most prominently Arsenal.
Amid the growing links, it’s been reported that Sesko is open to joining Mikel Arteta’s project and in an interview with Sport 1, the Slovenian broke his silence on the possible transfer.
Speaking about his development at Leipzig, Sesko praised his club before commenting on what he’s looking for from his next destination.
“The club has given me a lot and continues to give me a lot every day. It’s a great club to develop at,” he said.
The striker then made it known that he wants to “play for a club that suits me, that brings out the best in me. That’s the most important thing for me.”
Sesko went on to reveal his stance on a possible move, keeping his cards close to his chest.
“I’m currently a player for RB Leipzig, so I’m taking it day by day. If a transfer happens, and if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t.”
Andrea Berta can offer Sesko the perfect package
If it’s a club that can bring out ‘the best’ in him that Sesko is looking for, then Berta might just have the perfect proposition for the forward at Arsenal.
Arteta has a strong track record of raising the bar for individuals at the Emirates, take Kai Havertz for example.
The German arrived at Arsenal low on confidence after a lacklustre time at Chelsea, but the manager always kept the faith, leading him to become a force to be reckoned with once more.
In an alternate view, the same can be said of Arteta’s impact on Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, two budding talents who have been nurtured by the boss to prove that Arsenal is a place where promising traits can grow into elite ones.
The Gunners can offer Sesko a crucial place in a blossoming project towards silverware in return for his services at a time of dire need in N5.
