Arsenal will be very busy in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners need reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch. Mikel Arteta needs a new striker and a wide player, while two midfielders could be a necessity too if both Thomas Partey and Jorginho end up leaving the club.
To add to that, Arsenal will need a new goalkeeper too to replace Neto, who is set to return to Bournemouth following his loan spell.
Andrea Berta has his hands full, and there’s now an update that will potentially make the incoming Arsenal sporting director happy.
Arsenal can sign Joan Garcia for just £12m if one thing happens
Joan Garcia is Arsenal’s top target in goal.
The Gunners have been keen to sign the Espanyol goalkeeper for over a year now. Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar tried really hard to get him last summer as well.
But, Espanyol rejected Arsenal’s offers for Garcia, and the talented keeper stayed there.
Garcia has had a tremendous season in Spain. His stock has gone up, and he will surely be a wanted man again in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal are expected to try and sign him again, and the Gunners could get a huge discount if one thing happens in the coming months.
Mundo Deportivo claim that Garcia’s £21 million release clause will drop to around £12 million if Espanyol get relegated from La Liga.
The Spanish side are currently 15th in the table, but they are just a point above 18th. There is every chance they could go down if things don’t go to plan in the final two months of the season.

Arsenal’s chances of signing Garcia
It is clear that Arsenal will be on the market for a new goalkeeper, and they have already done the groundwork on Garcia.
The Gunners have watched him for a long time, and the Spaniard’s ability with the feet combined with his shot-stopping brilliance make him a fine option.
There will be other clubs interested in him, but reports from Spain have claimed that Arsenal will have ‘no problem’ signing Garcia having been in contact with his agents.
The only thing left to see is the transfer fee – if Espanyol go down, Arsenal can get Garcia for a bargain. If they stay up, the Gunners will have to spend a little more.
Either way, we think Garcia would be great for Arsenal.
