Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given an update on the future of two stars surrounding uncertainty in the January transfer window.
It comes as the Gunners enter an awkward market to try and bolster their ranks, boosting their Premier League title chances at the same time.
The forward areas have come as the main links for Arsenal, though there could be chances for exits over the coming month before some fresh faces arrive.
While Mikel Arteta will be focused on adding the right players at the right price, there are also current members of the squad to monitor.
That leads on to some imminent contract situations, with the Arsenal boss having a few stars who could leave soon.

Mikel Arteta speaks out on Jorginho and Thomas Partey transfer
Two Arsenal stars who could face a transfer exit are Jorginho and Thomas Partey, with the midfield duo entering the final six months under contract at the club.
The situation allows them to sign pre-contract deals abroad for the end of their deals, making the Gunners powerless to any potential deal.
They can offer new extensions to the pair, though there’s no indication that they have been offered anything as of yet.
With the situation becoming slightly more uncertain, Mikel Arteta was quizzed on the midfield duo.
He told the press: “That’s a possibility [Jorginho and Thomas Partey signing pre-contract deals]. It’s close communication with them, what their idea is, what they want to do, and what are their intentions.”
It suggests that the pair are more than welcome to leave, though communication over their situation will be key.
Whether Jorginho and Thomas Partey sign deals in January is another matter though, with plenty of interest likely to follow.

What Mikel Arteta has said about Arsenal’s January transfer window
As the January transfer window kicks off, Arsenal will be searching frantically for any possible deals they can find that fits what they need.
While the forward department is the key area to bolster, there is the possibility of a midfield addition for the future – especially with Jorginho and Partey facing the end of their contracts.
The January window was something Arteta was quizzed on again as he told the press: “I don’t know. We have to focus on the players that we have.
“They have to have an impact on the team. At the moment the focus is on more that what we have… That market it is much more limited than the one in the summer.”
It remains to be seen exactly what business Arsenal could conduct before the end of the transfer window.
