Mikel Arteta clearly recognises Arsenal must add more quality to their forward line.
Arsenal have been linked to several attackers ahead of the summer transfer window, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Anthony Gordon recently linked to the Emirates Stadium.
🤔 Which midfield target should Andrea Berta prioritise at Arsenal this summer?
Max Dowman will be a year older next season, so he’ll probably play a bigger role, but they’ll still need to sign a world-class winger to go up a level.
With that said, the Gunners are actually looking at signing a player who Jamie Carragher thinks is just like Thierry Henry.

Jamie Carragher says Arsenal target Rafael Leao reminds him of Thierry Henry
It has been reported that Arsenal have a genuine chance of signing Rafael Leao this summer transfer window.
AC Milan won’t put the Portugal international up for sale, but it’s understood that they would be open to a good offer.
If you could sign ONLY ONE of Tonali, Livramento, or Gordon for Arsenal, who are you taking and why?
It’d certainly be an exciting signing for Gunners supporters, and perhaps even more so based on what Jamie Carragher has previously said about the 26-year-old.
Speaking back in 2023, Carragher admitted the Arsenal target reminded him of Henry.
“I gave Leao the big build in the last game,” the CBS pundit stated.
“I spoke about his ability on the counter-attack. I said that ‘we may see it more in the away leg because Napoli have got to go on the front foot’. And that man Olivier Giroud puts it away.
“But this guy is absolutely devastating. When he is in full flow, running like that, then he is very reminiscent of the man on my right (Thierry Henry).
“That inside left channel. When you see Thierry Henry getting the ball and going past players, it’s very similar. It’s a sight to behold.”
Leao certainly won’t be an easy deal to complete for the Gunners, as the Serie A giants value him at between £70-87m.
They’ll probably have to move on one of their current wide options to facilitate the move.
Martinelli has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, so perhaps Leao could be a direct replacement for the Brazilian.
