Arsenal have been assessing the market for a new centre-forward ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal eyeing Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi

According to talkSPORT, Arsenal are eyeing a move to sign Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi this summer.

Arteta’s recruitment chiefs have been keeping close tabs on Junior Kroupi after his breakout season for the Cherries.

The 19-year-old has netted 11 Premier League goals in just 17 starts, operating as both a centre-forward and an attacking midfielder.

Junior Kroupi has no release clause in his contract, so any forthcoming suitor would likely have to shell out in excess of £60m to land his signature.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has described him as a natural finisher.

“I think Junior has been a big challenge for me this season, one of the biggest challenges because we noticed straightaway that he has special things,” the Spaniard said.

“His finishing is top for me.But we had to work a lot with him and, especially, he has had to do a lot of work that he wasn’t used to to win his minutes.

“He has become a much better player for me. I know he had a good start and scored goals but I try not to talk to him about goals because this is something which is natural and he will always have it.”
