Gabriel Jesus has returned from his injury at Arsenal.

The Brazilian spent the better part of a year out on the sidelines after tearing his ACL in January. It has been a long road back, but he is finally fit.

Jesus came on as a substitute in the games against Club Brugge and Wolves, and he looked sharp in both fixtures.

Despite that, a report has now revealed that Arsenal have tried to use Gabriel Jesus in a swap deal.

How many goals will Gabriel Jesus score from now until the end of the season? Will he outscore Viktor Gyokeres?

Arsenal have offered Gabriel Jesus to sign Jonathan David in a swap deal

Jonathan David has long been linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Canadian striker was of interest to the Gunners during his time at Gent. He then went to Lille, where he was also followed by the Premier League leaders.

In the summer, Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres as their new striker. David was available on a free transfer then, and Juventus snapped him up.

Neither striker has had a great season so far, but Tutto Juve have reported that Arsenal have attempted to sign David in January in a swap deal that would see Jesus going in the opposite direction.

The outlet reveals that Juve really rate the Brazilian highly from a tactical point of view and think he could replace the injured Dusan Vlahovic.

However, the Bianconeri are unsure about Jesus’ fitness issues, which is why they don’t intend to accept Arsenal’s swap deal offer in the winter window.

Arsenal should listen to Mikel Arteta and keep Gabriel Jesus

Mikel Arteta has always been a big fan of Jesus, and that hasn’t changed.

Yes, from a financial point of view, it would make sense for the decision-makers at Arsenal to get rid of the Brazilian, who is their highest earner and is currently fourth-choice behind Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino.

However, Arsenal need all the help they can get as they chase the Premier League and Champions League titles. That is why Arteta does not want to sell Jesus.

Change our mind – Arsenal are at their best as a team when Gabriel Jesus is starting up front…

“I don’t consider that (selling him), especially with the situation we have right now.

“I think Gabby has a lot to offer to the team – and he has proven that straight away, in the first minutes that he was available to play,” Arteta said recently.

The Arsenal board should listen to their manager and keep Jesus until the end of the season.
