Football journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that Arsenal have made an enquiry to sign West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen this summer.
The Gunners have had a very good transfer window so far. We’ve brought in Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and we look a lot stronger than we did at the end of last season.
The transfer window is still open and Mikel Arteta would surely love to bring in one or two more players. Arsenal could do with another winger, and after we failed to land Raphinha, it looks like Edu has his eyes on another Premier League player.
Arsenal have enquired about signing Jarrod Bowen from West Ham
Apart from Declan Rice, Bowen is arguably West Ham’s best player. The Irons have no plans to sell him, and that’s apparently what they told Arsenal when we enquired about signing him.
Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell, so there’s a lot of clubs circling over Bowen, but the challenge, much like Declan Rice, is persuading West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain pretty intent not to let him go.
“So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment, because West Ham don’t want to sell.
“But Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”

TBR View:
Arsenal were really interested in signing Raphinha from Leeds United this summer. Edu even admitted that recently he spoke to the winger’s agent, Deco, about a potential move, but he only wanted Barcelona.
The interest in Raphinha tells us that Arsenal are looking for a new wide player – possibly a left-footed right-winger who knows the Premier League well. Bowen definitely checks that box.
The Englishman has been brilliant for West Ham since he joined them in January 2020. He scored 17 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions last season – more than any Arsenal player.
Bowen would be a fine signing for Arsenal, but it’s extremely unlikely that West Ham will let him leave this summer.
