Arsenal are actively open to offers to sell Thomas Partey amid interest from Juventus as manager Mikel Arteta bids to sign new midfielders at Emirates Stadium in January.

That is according to football.london, which reports that Arsenal are willing to sell Partey and raise funds for Arteta. The tactician is determined to strengthen the engine room during the winter sales. He is also keen to future-proof his side with contracts expiring in north London.

Partey will enter the final year of his current terms at Emirates Stadium come the end of the season. While Arsenal also face decisions over the futures of Jorginho and Mohamed Elneny with both free agents next June. But Arteta will have a limited budget to spend over January.

Arsenal are open to offers for Thomas Partey in January

A few midfielders are on Arsenal’s radar with Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz a leading target and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi also of interest. Fabrizio Romano has also noted that Luiz is Arsenal’s top target to replace Partey. The Ghanaian’s injuries intensified Arteta’s position.

Now, football.london adds that Arsenal are actively open to offers to sell Partey, who will not feature again in 2023, come January. He is out for the rest of the year after requiring a small procedure on a thigh issue. The 30-year-old has also fallen in the pecking order this term.

Thomas Partey is waiting to receive offers for a transfer

Partey started this season playing as a makeshift right-back before sustaining a groin injury as Arsenal drew with Fulham in August. He returned in October to play the final 15 minutes of the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Manchester City. But he then sustained another injury in training.

Featuring as a full-back frustrated Partey, per Calciomercato.it, who also noted in September that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are interested. Gianluca Di Marzio has also doubled down on Juventus’ interest, adding that the Bianconeri have met with Arsenal to discuss a transfer.

Juventus would rather loan Partey, who TuttoMercatoWEB suggests has already told Arsenal that he wants to leave in January. The £200k-a-week midfielder Kevin Campbell once called ‘world-class’ is waiting to see if he gets offers from Premier League or La Liga sides, though.
