Arsenal have been linked with a number of strikers, and could now revisit a move for long-term target Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The Everton forward has been in fair form this season, with three goals in nine Premier League games, and has been linked with both Arsenal and Newcastle.
Arsenal have also been linked with Ivan Toney and Marcos Leonardo, but it is unclear whether Mikel Arteta will aim to sign a forward ahead of a midfielder in the January window.
Nevertheless, it has now been reported that Calvert-Lewin, who was a major target a few years ago, is an option Arsenal could explore.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin on Arsenal’s watchlist

A report from TEAMTalk has now claimed that both Arsenal and Newcastle have Calvert-Lewin on their “watchlist” ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal were interested in him in 2021, when he enjoyed a fine season under Carlo Ancelotti, but injuries and poor form scuppered any chances of a move.
However, it appears that now he is back to full fitness, he is on the radar of both clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
With the 26-year-old heading into the final 18 months of his contract, he may be available for a cut-price fee, but it remains to be seen what kind of price tag Everton will place on their striker.
Should Arsenal target Dominic Calvert-Lewin?

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry recently claimed that the only thing wrong with Gabriel Jesus, is that he is too injury prone.
With this in mind, targeting a player who has continually struggled with injuries for the last few years would be a bizarre way of bolstering Arteta’s attack.
Arsenal are not short of options upfront, with Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz able to provide cover for Jesus, and signing a striker should perhaps only be considered if a level-raiser or a wonderkid can be obtained.
Although Calvert-Lewin was described as “exceptional” during his best years, he is still yet to hit any kind of form which suggests that he is a better option than what Arsenal already have, and he is still not fully out of the woods when it comes to his injuries.
Even if the opportunity presents itself to sign Calvert-Lewin in the January window, Arsenal should not be tempted into signing a player they previously wanted, and the same goes for the recently linked Dusan Vlahovic, whom Arsenal wanted in January 2022 prior to his move to Juve
