After completing the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal remain in the market for one final addition this summer.
The Gunners have already added six players to their ranks, with Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera, Noni Madueke, and now Gyokeres all arriving at the Emirates.
Gyokeres joins from Sporting for £63 million, bringing the North Londoners’ summer spending to around £200 million.
Despite this, Arsenal aren’t done there and are keen to add one more piece to Mikel Arteta’s increasingly impressive squad.

Arsenal want to sign one more player after Viktor Gyokeres
Arsenal’s squad is beginning to take shape.
The Gunners have two players in each position across the pitch who Mikel Arteta trusts to use frequently.
That said, the left-hand side of Arsenal’s attack could still be upgraded, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli flattering to deceive last season.
Eberechi Eze is the priority target in this position, and the Gunners remain intent on landing the Crystal Palace talisman, despite their frivolous spending thus far.
“Gyokeres is not the final piece in the jigsaw,” transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained on the Beyond the Back Four podcast.
“They still want another attack-minded player, either from the left or a number ten. Eze and Rodrygo are on the list. They’re very happy with Gyokeres and went for him over Sesko because he’s ready to go.
“Saliba says Arsenal are going for trophies now, the Gyokeres signing shows that to players. Arsenal are not happy being 2nd, want to win everything and Gyokeres a big part of that, but not the final piece.”

Eberechi Eze would elevate Arsenal to Premier League title favourites
Arsenal struggled with relentless injury issues last season, with key players ruled out for significant periods of time throughout the campaign.
Even with Liverpool significantly bolstering their squad, the Gunners should be closer to the Merseysiders if they have fewer fitness problems to contend with.
What would push Arsenal from being on par with Liverpool in the odds to becoming title favourites would be the addition of Eze.
| Statistical Comparison 2024/25 (League Only) | ||
| Stat | Eze | Trossard |
| Appearances | 34 | 38 |
| Goals | 8 | 8 |
| Assists | 8 | 7 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 | 2.55 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 | 0.25 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 | 1.45 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 | 0.22 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 | 1.34 |
If the Gunners can sign the England international and sell Trossard, the left-hand side of their attack becomes instantly more dangerous.
The Belgian struggles to create separation from defenders nowadays, while Eze is essentially a younger version of the former Brighton man, excelling at getting shots off and taking players on in central areas.
The Palace star would offer the unpredictability and chaos that Arsenal’s left-hand side lacks, and would subsequently free up more space for Bukayo Saka to exploit on the right.
