Marc Guehi remains a player of interest for Arsenal this January but they could now be facing a bitter blow in their bid to land him.

Arsenal are among the clubs keen on Guehi, who can also count Liverpool and Man City among his admirers.

Guehi is destined to leave Crystal Palace and while he could wait until the summer for a big personal payday, he could also move on in January if the right deal is struck.

However, it seems that it’s not only teams in England looking at Guehi.

Bayern Munich have already spoken to Marc Guehi’s agent

With Guehi’s form so good and the idea among many big clubs that he could get even better, it goes without saying that other clubs will be keen.

Now, according to Florian Plettenberg, German giants Bayern Munich are one of the clubs serious about landing Guehi.

Plettenberg claims that Bayern have already directly spoken to Guehi’s agents and they are trying to convince Guehi to join them in the summer.

That would mean Palace missing out on a big fee this January and also ensures Guehi is in a strong position to demand big wages.

It’s also claimed that the race is very much on, albeit there is no mention of Arsenal from Plettenberg, who instead references Liverpool and Man City as the most serious competition.

Bayern Munich could be too tempting for Marc Guehi to turn down

Guehi will be looking on at all this rumour and talk and be thinking just what is the best decision for him and his family.

Years ago, the idea of joining Bayern over the English clubs mentioned here might seem impossible.

However, Harry Kane has shown what can be achieved by joining the German giants and Guehi knows full well that moves like this don’t come about too often.

Ultimately, if Arsenal do want to sign Guehi, it feels like they’re going to have to act fast and be decisive.

This is moving at pace and with Bayern now in the mix, Guehi is getting more and more options to choose from.
