With the January transfer window fast approaching, Arsenal are sure to be linked with plenty of attackers.
The Gunners need to make additions to their ranks this winter, as this season so far has exposed the flaws in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal are already very much on the back foot when it comes to the Premier League title race, as they trail current table-toppers Liverpool by nine points.
A lack of goals has been a problem for the North London club, whilst Martin Odegaard’s injury revealed a dearth of creative options being available to step into the starting XI.
Arteta has discussed transfer plans with the Arsenal hierarchy, and it is clear that attacking reinforcements are needed.

Arsenal to rival Manchester United for Christian Pulisic transfer
Former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has now emerged as a potential arrival at the Emirates Stadium. However, the Gunners will face competition for the 26-year-old’s signature.
According to journalist Mark Brus, reporting in the Daily Briefing, new Manchester United manager Ruben Anorim is keen to bring the £55 million-rated ace to Old Trafford in January.
However, Liverpool and Arsenal have both also been credited with an interest in the USA international, who has been described as “a player reborn” as AC Milan.
The attacking-midfielder struggled to impress on a consistent basis in his time at Stamford Bridge, and left West London to join the Italian side in the summer of 2023. Since then he has shone in Serie A. So far this season, he has racked up 7 goals and 5 assists in 15 outings, across all competitions, for AC Milan.
How Pulisic dazzled against Arsenal for Chelsea
Arteta is well aware of the danger that Pulisic can pose when at his best. The Spanish coach’s Arsenal side came up against the American in their clash with Chelsea in the 2020 FA Cup final.
Although the Gunners came out on top at Wembley Stadium that day, handing Arteta his first and so far only piece of major silverware as the Arsenal boss, Pulisic was able to light up the occasion.
The Guardian gave Pulisic a 9/10 rating for his performance in that match, in which he scored for the Blues. They said he was: “[Frank] Lampard’s best player. His clever, quick feet proved one of the game’s highlights. Scored a fabulous goal but was forced off with a hamstring pull. That injury arguably served as the catalyst for Arsenal’s win.”
Arsenal are still in the Premier League title race, but will need to upgrade their squad in January if they are to stand any realistic chance of being crowned champions.
If Arteta can sign Pulisic, and the 75-cap USA star can replicate the form he has shown for AC Milan and in the 2020 FA Cup final for Arsenal, then he could help to deliver the manager’s next piece of major silverware.
