Arsenal now know what they will have to pay in order to sign Kenan Yildiz.
Arsenal are currently on the hunt for a new striker.
However, whilst the likes of Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen would be considered top class options to lead the line and would likely be regular starters from the off at the Emirates Stadium, Kenan Yildiz is much more of a prospect for the future.
According to Calciomercato, both Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on snapping up the 18-year-old forward, who can either lead the line or be used in an attacking midfield role, as well as on either flank. Juventus are aware of his potential though, and have put a £35-40 million price tag on the teenage sensation.
Given that the Gunners only have a modest budget to take into the upcoming January transfer window, and also need to prioritise defensive acquisitions, they are unlikely to make a move for Yildiz in the immediate future. Mikel Arteta will still be keeping a keen eye on the young Turkish forward’s development, though.
The Spanish coach has shown a willingness to invest in young players in the past, so will not be put off by the player’s age. He is the same age as Brighton and Hove Albion star Evan Ferguson, who is another player believed to be on Arsenal’s transfer shortlist.

Who is Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz?
Having spent ten years in the Bayern Munich academy system, Juventus snapped him up as a free agent when his contract with the German giants expired in 2022. That same year, he was included in The Guardian’s Next Generation list, where his impressive technique and finishing ability were noted.
Yildiz has made five substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season. Assuming he remains with the Italian club until the end of the current campaign, it will be fascinating to see if he is able to force his way further up the pecking order. If he does manage to achieve this feat, his asking price will surely inflate accordingly.
In that sense, whilst now is not the ideal time for Arsenal to be investing in an unproven teenage attacker, this may be the most affordable opportunity to secure the youngster’s services. Of course, another risk of waiting to make a move is that it hands Liverpool the opportunity to steal a march on Arsenal and snap up the player for themselves.
