Arsenal have learned the asking price for one name on Mikel Arteta’s transfer list.

After Arsenal’s hopes of lifting the 2024/25 Premier League title were squashed by the repercussions of poor planning, added emphasis is on the summer transfer window.

The arrival of Andrea Berta as Arsenal’s new sporting director is encouraging, with several high-quality signings desperately needed.

The Gunners have already been linked to a list of targets, including Viktor Gyokeres as a striker option, with the front line the priority in the summer.

Arsenal learn Antoine Semenyo’s asking price

As well as Arteta’s plea for a striker, there will be attention on the wide areas of attack, with Nico Williams a dream target for Arsenal

Given that plenty of clubs will be eyeing the Spaniard, alternative targets are being spoken of, one of which is Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.

Arsenal were linked to Semenyo in January and now, have learned how much they’ll have to pay for the winger.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, the 25-year-old is ‘on the radar’ of Arsenal and Manchester United, as well as Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

It’s claimed that while Bournemouth are eager to keep Semenyo beyond the summer transfer window, a fee of £75m ‘would likely be accepted’.

Arteta’s reported interest in the forward would excite the player, given that Semenyo has hinted that he’s an Arsenal fan.

How Semenyo compares to Gabriel Martinelli

The transfer is also one that would be approved by Thierry Henry, as the Arsenal legend vetted Semenyo with glowing praise.

Aside from being a move that could make the wide player’s dream come true, Semenyo could also do Arsenal a lot of favours on the left side.

When comparing the Bournemouth star to Gabriel Martinelli, it’s clear to see that the Ghanaian could offer Arsenal more threat in the wide areas.

Though Martinelli is well-loved for his rise at the club, the Brazilian’s form of 2022/23 hasn’t been traceable for some time, with Semenyo there to act as his successor.

That being said, a £75m price tag could make Arteta rethink signing the Premier League ace, with a lot of questions to be answered in the summer.
