Liverpool join Arsenal in Alexander Isak transfer race
Arsenal’s transfer interest in Alexander Isak is no secret, with the Gunners looking to bolster their centre-forward ranks in the coming months.
The striker has impressed in the Premier League, with Newcastle desperate to keep hold of him and even slapping a £150million price tag.
It’s a huge fee to pay, with Arsenal unlikely to seal such a high-profile deal in the January transfer window unless something drastically changes.
If Mikel Arteta does push to get a deal done, then there may be some extreme competition for his signature.
That’s because, according to TeamTalk, Liverpool are also showing interest in Alexander Isak in the transfer market.
It comes as the report claims that the Reds are looking to move Darwin Nunez on, while Marcus Thuram is also in their sights.
Arsenal showing interest in Dani Olmo transfer
Another possible transfer opportunity opening up for Arsenal comes in the form of Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo.
The Spaniard only joined the Blaugrana in the summer, but he could be available on a free transfer due to the rules surrounding registration.
Due to Barcelona’s financial difficulties, their inability to register Olmo could trigger an immediate release as a free agent.
With that in mind, Mundo Deportivo, reports that Arsenal have been the first team to show interest in a potential move to the Premier League.
If he does become a free agent, the Gunners aren’t the only team eyeing a possible deal as rivals Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are also showing interest.
Fabrizio Romano gives update on Matheus Cunha transfer
Arsenal have been rumoured with a transfer for Matheus Cunha, with the forward having impressed in his time at Wolves.
With the Brazilian scoring plenty of goals and assisting in batches as well, there have naturally been several links with moves.
Discussing the rumours surrounding a transfer for Cunha, Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport: “Arsenal have been tracking Cunha’s progress even before his recent excellent form but no club-to-club contact has been made so far and Wolves insist on their intention to keep Cunha until June.
“Let’s see what happens, based on eventual proposals.”
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be able to confirm a switch for Cunha in the upcoming weeks or not.
