Arsenal could make their academy even stronger at the expense of Liverpool, who have a young player generating attention.

Magical things are happening at Hale End right now, with a handful of youngsters already catching Mikel Arteta’s eye.

16-year-old Marli Salmon could have a first-team role to play amid growing defensive injuries, with the age of graduation from Arsenal’s academy seeming to get younger and younger.

You just need to look at Max Dowman’s incredible rise at the age of 15 to consider how close Arteta is to what is unfolding in the academy, making Arsenal the place to be for rising stars.

If there’s one thing you could change about the Arsenal academy, what would it be and why?

Arsenal’s interest in Liverpool academy talent Josh Abe described as interesting

Born in 2009, Dowman and Salmon are the poster boys of Arsenal’s academy right now, but could be joined in the future by a star born in 2010.

The Gunners have shown an interest in Liverpool U18 talent Josh Abe, who is also wanted by Chelsea.

Speaking on the Daily Mail’s YouTube channel, journalist Lewis Steele shared an update on Arsenal’s interest in Abe, revealing a boost the Gunners have.

“So, Josh Abe is the most talented lad in the U18s, and a few people I speak to think he’s the best, most talented kid in the whole academy,” Steele said.

“He can play across the front, I reported a few weeks ago that Arsenal and Chelsea are sniffing around as well.”

The journalist then shared what could give Arsenal an advantage over the Blues in the race to sign Abe.

“The Arsenal thing is interesting, because I’m told his dad is an Arsenal fan, and I think his dad is looking after him on the agent side of things.”

Not only do the Gunners have a good reputation in the academy, but Arsenal have already made one supporter’s dream come true in this season’s transfer window.

Arsenal fan Eberechi Eze was signed by Andrea Berta in the summer, but could another player with ties to the club be on his way?

Josh Abe is one of the very best wingers

Arsenal’s academy will certainly hope so, as there are few wide talents as hot as Abe right now.

Playing way beyond his years in Liverpool’s U18s, the 15-year-old has contributed to four goals in five U18 Premier League appearances this season.

Scouts are blown away with the teenager’s ability, as on X, well-followed ‘The Secret Scout’ described Abe as ‘the best winger in the country at this age’.

Arsenal are already bringing through a potentially generational talent in Dowman, and if Abe follows suit, the future could be so bright in North London.
