Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs chasing Kustosija wonderkid Dino Klapija, and may be ahead of their rivals in the race.

The 16-year-old sensation is already attracting interest from all over Europe, and Mikel Arteta has reportedly sent scouts to watch him in action.

The Croatian is a talented centre-forward who may have the potential to explode, and Arsenal may have the upper hand in any race to sign him.

Klapija prefers Arsenal to Manchester United

A report from the Daily Mail has revealed that Arsenal, alongside Man United, Red Bull Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are all monitoring the teenager, who is valued at £5m.

The report claims that Arsenal will have an advantage if they try to sign him, as the player prefers the project under Arteta, to Man United in their current state.

He is rumoured to believe that his best chance of development, and eventual first-team chances, will come in North London and not Manchester.

Arsenal have one of the youngest teams in the division, and have seen a number of academy graduates thrive in recent years.

Bukayo Saka captained the side yesterday, and Eddie Nketiah scored a hattrick, highlighting how there is a clear path from the youth sides to the first-team.

Talented youngster Amario Cozier-Duberry is also in talks to follow Ethan Nwaneri in signing a new contract, and it seems that there will be a continued focus on young players.

Klapija has clearly seen how he could become a long-term option for the club if he moves to the Emirates, and it will be interesting to see whether Arsenal pursue a deal for the player, who has been described as ‘sharp’ and strong on set pieces.
