Arsenal transfer target Benjamin Sesko has already given an answer regarding a potential move to the club in the near future.

The Gunners have been looking to add a centre-forward to the squad for some time, having missed out on several targets.

One of those includes Benjamin Sesko, who turned down a transfer to Arsenal in the summer, signing a new contract at RB Leipzig.

While that deal is now in place, that hasn’t totally ruled out the possibility of another move in the months ahead.

Sesko has an agreement with RB Leipzig over a transfer exit in the coming summer transfer window, which could see him make a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Unfortunately for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal, a January move seems unlikely, but they have been given a boost regardless of that.

Benjamin Sesko has agreed to Arsenal transfer

Arsenal’s hopes of landing Sesko have been dented slightly by the recent transfer interest shown by La Liga giants Barcelona.

The Gunners may have to wait until the summer to land the striker, but there may already be an answer waiting for them.

That’s because, according to The Mirror, Sesko has already declared his desire to join Arsenal if he is to leave RB Leipzig.

It comes as a huge boost, not least because of the transfer interest elsewhere, as Mikel Arteta finally looks to solve the issue of having a clinical centre-forward.

If Arsenal are somehow able to get a deal over the line in January, it could greatly increase their chance of having a successful season.

However, unless a large bid is currently prepared, then it seems unlikely that the Gunners will have Sesko before the end of the month.

Benjamin Sesko record and goal highlights

With Sesko seemingly one of the few possible answers to Arsenal’s striker problem in the transfer market, some doubt may remain over how his record may translate to the Premier League.

So far this season, the striker has scored 13 goals across all competitions, with three assists to his name in that time as well.

In there are some impressive goal highlights, including one of his latest strikes in a huge win over Werder Bremen.

If Arsenal are best-placed to land Sesko, it will come with the hope that he can take that Bundesliga record and bring it to the Premier League.
