Bukayo Saka is arguably the most influential player at Arsenal.

The England international has been at the club longer than anyone else in the squad, and he is the highest-paid player too.

Saka has been described by many as the face of Arsenal, and he may have now recommended a player to Mikel Arteta in this transfer window – Ezri Konsa.

Bukayo Saka called Arsenal target Ezri Konsa during Aston Villa’s trophy parade

Konsa has become a key player for both Aston Villa and the England national team.

Thomas Tuchel has used him for the full 90 minutes in each of the Three Lions’ first four games at the World Cup, and he has played fairly well.

Even in the 2025/26 season, Konsa was a mainstay at the back for Aston Villa and played a big part in helping them win the Europa League.

During Villa’s trophy parade, the defender got a surprise call on his phone – it was Bukayo Saka facetiming him.

That clip went viral in May, and now, Arsenal have suddenly been linked with a move to sign the Aston Villa star.

The Telegraph reveal that the Gunners have Konsa on their radar, and he is valued at £60 million.

Arsenal have concerns over William Saliba’s fitness for the start of the new season, which is why they are looking for another centre-half.

We don’t know if a deal to get Konsa is possible, but we’re sure Saka will be happy to have him at the club because of their friendship.
