Arsenal are in the market for a midfielder this summer transfer window.

Mikel Arteta has looked at Sandro Tonali, and Leon Goretzka has also been considered by the Arsenal manager.

The Gunners boss will no doubt be keeping close tabs on some of the players at the World Cup and Morocco’s Ayyoub Bouaddi has already caught his eye.

Bouaddi has already indicated he’s interested in joining Arsenal, so it seems there are serious legs to this deal.

👀 NAME a BETTER midfield target for Arsenal than Ayyoub Bouaddi… I bet you CAN’T…

That said, we had a look at what commentator and pundit Kevin Hatchard had to say about Bouaddi’s performance against Brazil over the weekend.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Hatchard heaped praise on Arsenal target Bouaddi after his sensational display in the 1-1 draw with Brazil on Saturday.

“One who really stood out for me was Ayyoub Bouaddi, who’s only 18,” the pundit stated.

“He’s a midfielder and he played with the most ridiculous confidence. I mean you’re playing against Brazil in the World Cup finals, and he acted as if it was a kickabout with his mates.

“He was taking people on, he was trying to bring it out from the edge of his own area, and he was managing to do that, stepping past players as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

Arsenal fans….you can sign Elliott Anderson but it will cost £140m, are YOU doing it or not?

“He could pass, he was winning challenges as well… he came through Lille at 16 and Lille have just had a good season qualifying for the Champions League and he’s been a regular for them.

“You might look at it and think he never scores, well he doesn’t need to score, he gets things started, he opens up that press, plays through it and that’s when the spaces start to open up.

“I thought they (Morocco) were great, especially the second half.”

Arsenal aren’t the only club showing an interest in Bouaddi, as Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are having a close look.

In fact, they’ve already held talks with the teenager’s agent, so the Gunners are facing extremely stiff competition to land his signature.
