Arsenal fans will be hopeful of also going one step further in the Champions League, and that could require a few improvements in several areas.

David Ornstein predicts ‘eye-catching’ summer window at Arsenal

David Ornstein believes that Arsenal could do the most ‘eye-catching’ business during the summer transfer window.

Andrea Berta will be in charge of the transfers at Arsenal this summer, and he could be set for a hectic summer at the Emirates Stadium.

When asked which club could be the busiest this summer, Ornstein told The Athletic FC Podcast: “It’s different, and sorry to give a boring sitting-on-the-fence answer, because they all have different requirements…

“So I think Arsenal will do some eye-catching business, no doubt. They’re Premier League champions, Champions League finalists, but really, they need to just add bits and bobs to what they’ve already built.

“So I don’t think their volume will be the highest, but maybe some of the quality will be.”

Josh Kroenke told fans to ‘keep being excited’ after they lifted the title at Selhurst Park, and Ornstein is backing him to deliver on that promise.

Arsenal target a winger, a midfielder and a right-back

Morgan Rogers is one of the top targets for Arsenal as the Gunners attempt to strengthen the left side of their attack.

In midfield, Arsenal have made calls for Sandro Tonali, and they could return for the Italian international, whom they bid for in January.

Finally, signing a replacement for Ben White will also be key, as not having cover for Jurrien Timber has caused him all sorts of injury issues.
