Gabriel Magalhaes might return to Arsenal with a transfer message for Mikel Arteta and Edu.

Arteta will be relieved that the October international break has come to a close, with Arsenal’s injury luck not improving.

During the September break in play, the Gunners lost captain Martin Odegaard to an ankle injury, with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka suffering this month.

Aside from the injury concerns, several Arsenal representatives made the headlines for impressing for their nations, including centre-back Gabriel

Gabriel should send Igor Jesus transfer message to Arsenal

The defender has thrived at Arsenal in the early stages of the 2024/25 calendar, with his form transferring to the international stage.

Gabriel played 90 minutes in Brazil’s fixtures against Chile and Peru, being on the winning side on both occasions and impressing in his homeland.

The centre-back will return to Arsenal full of confidence, but self-belief is not the only thing he will be bringing to the Emirates.

On international duty, Gabriel featured alongside rumoured Arsenal target Igor Jesus, who had a strong impact in both games.

The Botafogo ace scored against Chile and assisted against Peru, giving Gabriel a first hand insight into what the striker could offer to his team back in North London.

Brazilian outlet Ge Globo described Jesus as a ‘tireless centre-forward’ for his display against Peru, praising the player tracked by Edu for his ‘not limited’ approach when leading the line.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of Arsenal’s reported admiration of the forward, with Gabriel the man to ask regarding a review on his international teammate.

Yannick Bolasie raves about Arsenal target Igor Jesus

Jesus impressed on international duty, in what was his first call-up to the Selecao by Dorival Junior.

The forward, who signed for Botafogo in the summer, had been learning his craft in the Middle East prior to this season, representing Dubai-based club Shabab Al-Ahli before returning to his homeland.

The rumoured Arsenal target has impressed many, including a figure who knows the Premier League very well.

In reaction to Brazil’s win over Peru, former Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie called Jesus a ‘big problem’, as he prepares to come up against the forward when Botafogo face Criciuma.

“That was a great move by Igor Jesus, a big problem…maybe he needs to stay in Brasilia for a few more days,” Bolasie joked on X.

People are beginning to see the promise in the 23-year-old, who could be a strong signing for Arsenal if Edu decides to further explore his talent.
