Italian outlet CalcioMercato revealed back in December that Arsenal are interested in signing Slavia Prague star Abdallah Sima this summer. (Read here)

The versatile Senegalese attacker has been dubbed as the ‘new Thierry Henry’ after what has been a tremendous season. Sima, still only 19, has scored 19 goals and has provided eight assists in all competitions for Slavia this term.

That is a stunning record, even if most of those goals have come in the Czech top-flight. He is destined for a big move this summer, but if Fabrizio Romano is to be believed, he is an option for Crystal Palace at the moment, not Arsenal.

Even France Football (via GFFN), revealed yesterday that Sima was in advanced negotiations with the Eagles over a summer move.

Palace could do with a prolific striker to boost their chances of reaching the next level. Sima checks all the boxes for the Eagles, and he would be a very impressive signing for them if a deal goes through this summer.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will need a new striker too, especially if Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah leave the club. Should Sima be considered?

Should Arsenal make a move for Abdallah Sima?

A teenager scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists certainly makes you stand up and take notice. Sima has received a ton of attention over the last few months and rightly so, but a move to Arsenal could just be a step too high for him.

The Senegal star is still only 19 and has no experience in a top-five European league. He may have all the qualities to thrive in England, but he is still unproven and that makes him a big risk for a club like Arsenal, who need someone to come in and hit the ground running.

Crystal Palace are an ideal club for Sima. He would fit in very well alongside the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Ebe Eze, and if he plays out of his skin there next season, Arsenal will definitely look at him again.
