Arsenal have made a firm decision on what they will do with Jakub Kiwior this summer.
There have been question marks surrounding Jakub Kiwior’s future at Arsenal for some time now.
Kiwior was one of four Arsenal players tipped to leave in what remains of this summer transfer window.
Of that quartet, Eddie Nketiah is set to join Crystal Palace, whilst Reiss Nelson will remain at Arsenal, and Aaron Ramsdale’s future remains somewhat uncertain.
It is easy to see why Kiwior might now be considered surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium. The arrival of Riccardo Calafiori this summer will surely have forced the Poland international further down the pecking order.
As if to emphasise this, Mikel Arteta did not include Kiwior in the Arsenal matchday squad for their Premier League opener against Wolves.

Arsenal transfer stance on Jakub Kiwior
However, despite it being tricky to see where the 24-year-old now fits into the manager’s plans, the Gunners are not yet willing to part with the defender.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, reporting on X: “Arsenal have informed Jakub Kiwior and his camp that he’s not for sale.
“Despite interest from Villarreal and Bologna on loan move, Arsenal want to keep Kiwior at the club.”
There is no room for interpretation here, it is clear that the Gunners have resolutely made up their minds.
What keeping Jakub Kiwior means for Arsenal
This decision means that the North London club will certainly be well-stocked for defenders this season. Kiwior will be competing with Calafiori, Jurrien Timber, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Takehiro Tomiyasu for game time at left-back.
Meanwhile, he stands almost no chance of displacing either Gabriel Magalhaes or William Saliba in the heart of the rearguard.
Zinchenko has welcomed this competition, but Kiwior will have his work cut out for him if he is to achieve anything close to regular game time this season.
It could well be the case that the issue of his future is reassessed when the January transfer window opens.
