Four Arsenal stars who could leave before Transfer Deadline Day

There is still time for Arsenal to clear the decks in their squad somewhat before the summer transfer window slams shut.

It has been a relatively quiet summer transfer window so far at the Emirates Stadium. Emile Smith Rowe has been the only high profile departure, whilst Riccardo Calafiori is the only new face to have been added to Mikel Arteta’s first team squad so far.

However, Arsenal have also converted David Raya’s loan agreement into a permanent move, and there are signs that there is still business to be done in North London.

Arsenal are close to signing Mikel Merino. It is likely that sporting director Edu is also still on the lookout for a new attacker.

Arsenal remain in the race for Nico Williams, and have been linked with moves for Ivan Toney, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen, amongst others, throughout the summer.

However, it could be the case that further sales are needed to make space for new arrivals, and there are four players who could easily find themselves cut loose in the coming days and weeks.

As reported by The Express, four Arsenal players could be sold before Transfer Deadline Day.

Aaron Ramsdale

Aaron Ramsdale is currently set for another season on the bench at Arsenal, offering back up to Raya. In that context, it would be understandable if the 26-year-old were desperate to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Ajax had a loan offer for Ramsdale rejected, as Arsenal would prefer to offload the shot-stopper on a permanent basis. If the England international is let go, though, he will need to be replaced directly straightaway, as the Gunners need a No. 2 to support Raya.

Jakub Kiwior

Jakub Kiwior was left out of the matchday squad altogether as Arsenal got their Premier League campaign underway against Wolves on Saturday. There has been interest in the defender from Serie A clubs, and he may find game time hard to come by with the Gunners this season following the arrival of Calafiori.

Reiss Nelson

Leicester City have shown interest in Reiss Nelson this summer, and the Hale End academy graduate really needs a fresh start elsewhere, as he clearly doesn’t feature heavily in Arteta’s plans. Nelson was only afforded one Premier League start last season.

Eddie Nketiah

As per the aforementioned report in The Express, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest have both been keeping tabs on Eddie Nketiah.

Like Nelson, the striker needs to seek pastures new in order to get the regular game time he requires at this stage in his career. Given Arsenal want to bolster their attack, it would make sense to move Nketiah on in order to make room for a new arrival.
