Arsenal have been linked with several top attacking players ahead of the summer transfer window, but none more exciting than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar would be a game-changing addition at the Emirates Stadium, and the Gunners deserve praise for identifying him as a target.
However, Fabrizio Romano has now shared some bad news for Arsenal fans.
Would Khvicha Kvaratskhelia be your dream Arsenal signing… If not, who do you want to see the Gunners sign?
Fabrizio Romano reveals PSG’s stance on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia amid Arsenal links
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the best wingers in world football, and he would improve any team he joins.
That is why Arsenal’s interest in him has generated so much excitement among supporters.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have both had their struggles and are expected to be moved on in the summer transfer window.
If that happens, Arsenal will need an upgrade, and there’s nobody better than Kvaratskhelia. However, PSG aren’t even willing to negotiate.
Romano said in a video on his YouTube channel: “Many reports on Kvaratskhelia and Arsenal again in these days, during the international break. My understanding, guys, is that Kvaratskhelia, at the moment, is completely focused on Paris Saint-Germain.

“PSG have no intention to come to the table and negotiate any transfer fee for Kvaratskhelia. PSG believe that Kvaratskhelia is in fantastic form. He’s a fantastic player, a top professional, super serious. They love Kvaratskhelia.
“So, they don’t want Kvaratskhelia to leave this summer. Don’t forget that Paris Saint-Germain started enjoying Khvicha Kvaratskhelia only in the last year or so.
“Kvaratskhelia seems like he’s been at Paris Saint-Germain for a long time, but they signed him from Napoli in January 2025. So, 13-14 months ago. Not a long time.
“So Paris Saint-Germain are quite clear on the situation. They want him to stay. They’re not considering a sale.”
How much would you pay to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for Arsenal?
Arsenal may need to move on quickly from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Arsenal’s interest in Kvaratskhelia is understandable, but this is a deal that looks almost impossible.
If PSG are unwilling to negotiate at any level, there is nothing the Gunners can realistically do to force a move, unless the player himself drives the transfer.
If Arsenal don’t get any assurances from the Kvaratskhelia camp, we think they would be better off focusing on targets who are actually attainable.
Spending time chasing a player who is not for sale could cost them opportunities elsewhere in the market. Andrea Berta will know that very well, and we’re sure he has a few other names on his wish list.
It will be interesting to see who Arsenal will turn to if the Kvaratskhelia deal does prove to be impossible.
