Real Madrid star Martin Odegaard has had his say on his future beyond the end of his loan spell at Arsenal.
The Norwegian joined us in January and he has been a huge hit since. Arsenal fans and Mikel Arteta absolutely love him, and everybody expects us to make a big move for him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, the Gunners have to deal with Real Madrid first. The Galacticos are still probably annoyed with us for pulling out of the Super League, and that could well play a part in potential transfer negotiations.

There’s also a good chance that Zinedine Zidane, the man who refused to give Odegaard the chances he deserved, will leave this summer as well. That could tempt the Norwegian to try his luck at Madrid under a new manager next season.
Nothing is certain just yet, but the one thing we can be sure about is that he’s a brilliant fit for Arsenal.
Martin Odegaard: I’m happy at Arsenal
The Norwegian spoke to Sky Sports today about his future today, and although he’s unsure, he made it clear that he is very happy at the Emirates.

He said, as per Sky Deutschland journalist Max Bielefeld: “I am happy here at Arsenal, but we will see after the season what will happen. At the moment I don’t know. I’m owned by Real Madrid, so we have to speak to them. It’s important to know what they want.”
Odegaard is stating the obvious with respect to his future here, but he has stressed that he is happy at Arsenal. That has excited a few Gooners, who now think that he wants to stay at the Emirates beyond the end of his loan spell.
Here’s how a few Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter:
