Kai Havertz has had a difficult season for Arsenal, there’s no question about that.
The German has barely played this term after 18 months’ worth of bad injuries, and, once again, at the weekend he was subbed off after half an hour.
Now, heading into the summer, Arsenal have a decision to make on Kai Havertz – persevere with an injury prone player, or, move on a player who, at his best, can be a difference-maker.
Speaking on Inside Arsenal, James Benge has suggested that Havertz may have an option away from the Emirates, claiming that Bayern Munich do hold an interest in the player.

Bayern Munich keen on Kai Havertz
According to Benge, Bayern Munich do have an interest in Kai Havertz and this is one to monitor heading into the summer.
As a German star, a move to Bavaria would be logical for the attacker.
“Yeah, my understanding on Havertz and Bayern is that there is interest there. Nothing more than that that I’ve heard at the moment, but that is one to monitor in the summer,” Benge said.
“Because of course, Nicolas Jackson is going, so he might figure as a depth piece at Bayern, like someone that can cover a bit for Musiala and a bit for Kane.”
That role suits Havertz to a tee, he’s a versatile player who can fill in both as a midfielder and a striker.
However, as Benge noted later, letting Havertz go would create a vacuum in the squad.
“But like you say, it would all be about the deal on offer and who are Arsenal flipping him into, because if you lose Havertz and Jesus, that’s two forwards you need to replace them with, and then you’re probably looking at losing Martinelli and or Trossard as well.”
What do you think the future holds for Havertz at Arsenal? 🤔

Kai Havertz could follow Mesut Ozil’s footsteps
Havertz to Bayern links were always just a matter of time.
The reality is that Bayern Munich have built themselves into one of the biggest football clubs on the planet over generations by making sure they always get the best German talent.
Almost every German superstar ends up at Bayern one way or another, and if Havertz wants to go down as one of his country’s greats, he may well have to move.
Of course, not every German star ends up at Bayern Munich, as Arsenal fans know.
Mesut Ozil is perhaps the greatest German footballer of all-time to never play for Bayern Munich, instead spending many of his prime years with Arsenal.
Who knows? Perhaps Havertz could follow in Ozil’s footsteps and become a rare German star who doesn’t end up in Munich.
