Arsenal are set to appoint Andrea Berta as their new sporting director, and the former Atletico Madrid man is already making plans for the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are set to miss out on the Premier League title once again, and thus, an influx of quality will be needed in Mikel Arteta’s squad to ensure they’re competing at the top for the fourth season running next year.
Alexander Isak is Arteta’s dream signing, while the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Martin Zubimendi and Nico Williams continue to be linked with a switch to N5.
With the volume of additions Arsenal reportedly want, there have been some concerns that the financial resources that the club will have to play with won’t be sufficient.
However, those fears have been squashed after a new report emerged on Wednesday.

Arsenal will have £300m to spend in summer transfer window
Berta arrives with a good pedigree, having overseen Atletico’s impressive period over the last ten years or so.
Signing several forwards in his time in the Spanish capital, Berta has an excellent track record of acquiring quality strikers.
A new number nine will be one of the priorities on his list at the Emirates, along with a host of other areas of the squad he’ll look to improve.
According to GiveMeSport, Arsenal could enjoy a ‘record-breaking’ spending spree, with £300 million the figure touted as a potential budget.
The Gunners aren’t concerned about breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, and Berta is subsequently mapping out an excessive summer of spending.
It’s understood that Edu’s replacement wants to sign a back-up goalkeeper, a left-back, a defensive midfielder, a left-winger and a striker.
Cover for Bukayo Saka could also be brought in, while an all-action central midfielder is said to be a possibility.

Who are Arsenal’s main transfer targets?
The report outlines a number of Berta’s primary targets in each position.
Zubimendi is still expected to arrive for £51 million from Real Sociedad, replacing either Thomas Partey or Jorginho in Arteta’s ensemble.
However, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes is also a target, and the Brazilian could join the North London club alongside Zubimendi.
Joan Garcia remains the primary goalkeeper target, while his Athletic Club teammate Williams is still on Arsenal’s radar.
Up front, Isak is being considered, although groundwork has been done on Sesko, and there’s a belief that the Slovenian is interested in a move to Islington.
Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha is still being monitored by the Arsenal hierarchy, ahead of what could be a frantic summer window at the Emirates.
