Arsenal star Raheem Sterling has made a decision over his future at the club, following a difficult start to life during his loan.

Edu Gaspar sealed a last-gasp move for the winger in the summer transfer window, ensuring he could help bolster the squad with options.

The chances for Raheem Sterling have been few and far between so far though, with only four starts handed his way by Mikel Arteta across all competition.

As questions continue over the future of the 30-year-old, there have been some thoughts over whether his loan at Arsenal could be cut short.

Raheem Sterling makes decision on cutting Arsenal loan short

With Sterling’s struggles so far at Arsenal, there is uncertainty over whether he would wish to stay on at London Colney.

With the January transfer window around the corner, it could offer a chance for the loan to be ended early and to secure a move elsewhere.

Meanwhile, for the Gunners, it’s an opportunity to strengthen their ranks and give them renewed hope in the title race.

While that could be on the cards, an exit for Sterling doesn’t appear to be, as the Standard reports that the player isn’t considering an early leave from the club.

It is also claimed that Mikel Arteta has the winger in his plans for the remainder of the season, only furthering his commitment to staying.

It remains to be seen exactly how much game time the Arsenal boss can offer though, with a busy fixture schedule ahead.

With a mixture of EFL Cup and Premier League games ahead, Sterling could still make a lasting impact this season.

Some favourable games await and could pave the way towards a greater involvement in the team.

However, should he fail to do so, it could well spell an end to his time at the club before it has ever really begun.

Not many pictured it going this way, but Sterling is already in a fight to prove himself at Arsenal this campaign.
