Arsenal prospect Charlie Patino would be an ideal target for Juventus, amid interest from the Serie A giants in the midfielder’s transfer after impressing at Swansea City.

That is the view of transfer intermediary Michele Fratini, who believes Patino can solve a key flaw for Juventus. The 20-year-old has produced a promising season away from Arsenal so far this term. He joined Swansea on loan for the 2023/24 term in August and has been vital.

Patino has featured 12 times for the Jacks across all competitions after securing an essential role under manager Michael Duff. He has further provided one goal and four assists through those outings in the Championship. Three of his assists even came over his first four fixtures.

Juventus are one of Arsenal gem Patino’s suitors

Hitting the ground running in south Wales has sparked several sides to show an interest in a transfer for Patino. Fratini recently told Rai Sport, via Pianeta Milan, that a clutch of Serie A’s elite are keen. But Arsenal would want €30m (£26m) to sell Patino, which might be an issue.

Juventus are amongst the Serie A sides showing an interest in Patino’s transfer from Arsenal, as well. His displays under Duff have convinced the Bianconeri of his potential. But AC Milan, Inter Milan and SSC Napoli also have the Hale End product on their radars for a future move.

Fratini has now addressed Juventus’ interest in Patino once more and has tipped the Arsenal gem to solve a key flaw in Massimiliano Allegri’s side. The transfer intermediary believes the England U21 talent could emerge as the conductor the Old Lady are crying out for right now.

“I saw a very bad Juventus but in the Italian style,” Fratini told Rai Sport, via quotes by Tutto Juve, after they beat Fiorentina. “We need a director because Juventus doesn’t have quality.

“And the one who builds the game could be Charlie Patino of Arsenal because he has great quality. There are many great teams following him.”

Arsenal may find themselves at risk of losing Patino next summer with his contract only due to run until 2025. The Gunners triggered a two-year option to extend his previous terms this May. Yet The Athletic noted then that Arsenal would consider a transfer as he eyed a switch.
