Mikel Arteta could reportedly sell one of Arsenal’s most exciting young players this summer after an incredible year out on loan.

Mika Biereth has been one of the standout names for the north London side away from the Emirates Stadium, with the 21-year-old striker thriving at Motherwell and now at Sturm Graz.

Once praised by former Arsenal recruitment official Yousuf Sajjad as ‘unbelievable’, Biereth’s numbers this year have been nothing short of impressive, with the striker making a real name for himself.

However, according to journalist Charles Watts, there’s a good chance that Arteta might make the decision to sell Biereth this summer, despite Arsenal being big fans of the 21-year-old.

Signed from Fulham in 2021, Biereth’s development over the last 12 months has put the Danish youth international on the footballing map, with interest likely to arise in the summer for the forward.

And with Arsenal in a position where they need to sell, offloading an academy player like Biereth for a big profit could be appealing for Arteta, who already wants to bring in another forward this summer.

Indeed, selling Biereth would make a lot of sense for Arsenal given their need to improve the squad for next season, and the youngster himself could benefit from a permanent move away from north London.

This summer could be one to remember for Arsenal if the Gunners play their cards right, with a number of players expected to depart for good fees in the market.

And Biereth is one such name that could recoup a good fee for Arsenal, with the youngster showing this season why he is as highly rated as he is at the north London club.

Although some fans will argue that Biereth deserves a shot in the senior team, Arteta is making a good decision in opting to sell the striker, who is clearly ready for first-team football with a good European side.
