Arsenal have a number of players out on loan at this time.
Several players who have featured in Mikel Arteta’s first team in recent seasons are currently away from the club, having fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.
Fabio Vieira has impressed Arsenal fans whilst on loan at Porto, suggesting that he may still have something to offer in North London.
Meanwhile, Reiss Nelson has grown frustrated at Fulham. The likes of Albert Sambi Lokonga, Nuno Tavares, and Karl Hein, amongst others, are currently out on loan too.
One forgotten Arsenal figure, Marquinhos, is currently plying his trade back in Brazil with Fluminense, but his longer-term future is far from certain.

Clubs in transfer battle for Arsenal loanee Marquinhos
Fluminense are sending Marquinhos back to Arsenal, having passed up on the opportunity to sign the winger on a permanent basis.
This is not the first time that the 21-year-old has had a loan stint cut short. Marquinhos’ spell with Nantes last season was also a disaster, and he was recalled by Arsenal in January.
The winger has previously impressed for Norwich City in the Championship, and bagged a goal on his debut for the Gunners against Zurich in a Europa League clash in 2022.
Ultimately, though, he failed to establish himself at the Emirates Stadium.
Despite flopping in the Premier League and having struggled since his return to Brazil, the attacker remains in demand.
As reported by Trivela, both Atletico Mineiro and Internacional want to sign Marquinhos once he leaves Fluminense in January.
“Atlético-MG made an enquiry for right winger Marquinhos, who is leaving Fluminense. The 21-year-old player is also in talks with Internacional for 2025… Trying to get a loan with an option to buy.”
Does Marquinhos have any future at Arsenal?
The Brazil under-23 international undeniably has talent. Former Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar was a big believer in Marquinhos.
However, the attacker has clearly failed to convince Arteta of his ability to make an impact for Arsenal.
As such it is safe to say that he has no future in North London.
The Gunners will be hoping that Marquinhos’ next move will ultimately result in him leaving the club on a permanent basis.
