Next Bukayo Saka, ‘sensational’ star… 3 players Arsenal could lose for free this summer

A lot of movement is expected at Arsenal in the summer transfer window, and three players could end up leaving the club on a free transfer.

The Gunners barely lifted a finger in the winter window. No new players were signed and only a few youngsters in the academy were moved on – either on loan or on permanent deals. In the summer, there will be more, and we could end up losing three players for absolutely nothing.

Amario Cozier-Duberry

Arsenal have a bunch of exciting young players coming through in the academy, and Amario Cozier-Duberry might just be the most talented of them all.

The 18-year-old winger, who has been dubbed as the next Bukayo Saka, has entered the final six months of his contract, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed that there is no agreement yet.

If talks don’t head in a positive direction, Cozier-Duberry will leave on a free transfer, and a number of clubs, including Newcastle United and Wolves, are said to be interested in him.

Jorginho

Going from one of our youngsters to the second-oldest member of our squad – Jorginho has entered the final few months of his contract as well.

Arsenal do have an option to extend his deal by another 12 months, but as of this moment, Mikel Arteta and co have not triggered that yet.

There’s still plenty of time to extend the ‘sensational‘ Italian’s contract, but there remains a small chance he could be allowed to leave for free, especially if we end up signing two defensive midfielders in the summer like Martin Zubimendi and Douglas Luiz.

Reuell Walters

Reuell Walters, like Cozier-Duberry, is one of Arsenal’s most talented young players, but he too has entered the final few months of his contract.

The 19-year-old has been around the first-team on several occasions – in training and in matchday squads. However, he is yet to make his debut, and he hasn’t been given an opportunity to go out on loan either.

Arsenal are in talks to extend Walters’ contract, but if he can’t see a pathway into the first-team, there’s every chance he’ll leave us on a free transfer in the summer.
