Chris Sutton thinks Victor Osimhen should sign for Arsenal instead of Chelsea if he’s really ambitious.
The two London clubs have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Napoli striker over the last few months. It is clear Arsenal need a new striker, and Osimhen would be perfect in the summer.

Chris Sutton tells Victor Osimhen to join Arsenal instead of Chelsea
Victor Osimhen is arguably the best striker in the world apart from Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
The 25-year-old, who can be signed by triggering his £112 million release clause, has everything in his game. He’s strong, fast and powerful – Micah Richards thinks he’s ‘perfect‘ for us.
However, Chelsea are also in the race to sign Osimhen, and the Blues’ financial power may give them the edge as they’ve shown they are ready to throw crazy money around to get their targets.
Chris Sutton, however, believes Osimhan shouldn’t touch Chelsea if he has any ambition as they are nowhere near Arsenal’s level right now.
The BBC pundit said on The Monday Night Club: “Is he better than what Arsenal have got? Is he better than what Chelsea have got? Absolutely!
“Do we think that Arsenal are going to push more than Chelsea in the next couple of seasons? Probably, but Chelsea are a bit of a slow burner. They are getting a little bit better Chelsea. It’s difficult to see how this one will pan out.
“But Arsenal are getting desperate for a No 9. Certainly with Nicolas Jackson, Osimhen is a massive upgrade. Nkunku can’t get himself fit and you feel for Pochettino with that one. They are interesting Chelsea because it’s not totally out of the realms of possibility that all of a sudden next season they hit the ground running and really push because they do have some good players.
“But if he’s (Osimhen) really ambitious at this moment in time, you wouldn’t touch Chelsea ahead of Arsenal.”

Arsenal are a level above Chelsea
Chelsea have been in a mess for over a year now.
The Blues finished 12th last season – 40 points behind Arsenal. They’re currently ninth in the table and are unlikely to qualify for Europe, as things stand.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are challenging for the Premier League and the Champions League, and even if we don’t win either, we will likely finish inside the top three.
That means there will be Champions League football at the Emirates next season, and a player like Victor Osimhen really should be looking to play for a club that’s in Europe’s most prestigious competition.
However, only time will tell if Arsenal can match or even get close to Chelsea’s financial package to sign the Nigerian.
