A former Arsenal player signed and sold by Arsene Wenger could be set to make a surprise return to the Premier League.
Many players in the English top flight have formerly represented Arsenal.
Some find that the grass is greener away from North London, most notably Alex Iwobi, who has been transformed since leaving Arsenal.
Iwobi isn’t the only member of Fulham’s squad who once played for Arsenal, and it’s not only in the south-west region of the capital that former Gunners can be found.

Lukasz Fabianski could make shock return to West Ham
Former Arsenal player Lukasz Fabianski has spent 14 years of his playing career in London, split evenly between the Gunners and West Ham United.
In the summer, Fabianski departed The London Stadium at the expiry of his contract, becoming a free agent but making it clear that he wasn’t ready to hang up his boots just yet.
Now 40, the shot-stopper’s future appeared to be unclear after leaving West Ham; however, a shock return to the club is now on the cards.
Journalist Alex Crook relayed the news that Fabianski’s future has taken a ‘new twist’ following the news that West Ham had sold Wes Foderingham to Cypriot club Aris Limassol.
The Hammers are now on the prowl for another goalkeeper, with Fabianski ‘in talks’ with West Ham over a possible return.
Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Fabianski, having played with the Pole at Arsenal, with the goalkeeper, who is only three years the Arsenal manager’s junior, ready to return to the English top flight.
Premier League players over 40 – The exclusive list Fabianski could join
It would be a huge surprise to see Fabianski return to West Ham after his emotional farewell to the club only a few months ago.
It would also write the former Arsenal man into Premier League history, where he could join an exclusive club of players to play in the competition over the age of 40.
At present, only 12 players have made an appearance in the Premier League aged 40 or above, a number that will rise this season when James Milner turns 40 in January.
Interestingly, for Fabianski’s case, nine of the 12 players have been goalkeepers, one of which being Arsenal Invincible Jens Lehmann, who was 41 when he played for the Gunners in 2011.
A sensational return to the English top flight could take Fabianski’s appearance tally in the Premier League above 376, which is a huge accomplishment.
