Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Arda Guler from Real Madrid in January.

The Gunners have mostly had good success when they have done business with Real Madrid. Mesut Ozil was a star in his first few years at the club, while Martin Odegaard is Arsenal’s most important player now.

That shows that signing players from Real Madrid is not a bad idea at all, which is why fans became really excited when reports claimed that Arsenal want to bring in Arda Guler on loan in the winter window.

The Gunners are set for disappointment now.

Real Madrid signed Guler from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023.

The young Turk was a wanted man last year. A number of clubs including Arsenal were linked with a move to sign Guler.

Real Madrid, as they most often do, won the race for his signature, but the 19-year-old has barely played under Carlo Ancelotti this season.

The Turkey international has been given just 307 minutes of game time all campaign, and that has led to rumours that he could be loaned out in the winter window.

Reports claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing Guler, but the Gunners’ hopes are set to end in disappointment now.

Defensa Central have revealed Real Madrid’s ‘response’ to the Arsenal links, and the European champions have absolutely no interest in entertaining any transfer in January.

When the outlet asked for a response about the rumours around Guler, the club reportedly replied: “No one is going to go out in the winter market.”

Real Madrid’s Arda Guler stance is good news for one Arsenal player

Reports on Arsenal’s interest in Guler emerged after weeks of disappointment around the Emirates because of the lack of creativity in their attack.

When Martin Odegaard was absent, the Gunners looked clueless in the final third at times, and that is the reason why they have dropped so many points already.

Signing anyone from Real Madrid is always exciting, but Guler’s arrival would hurt Ethan Nwaneri’s chances of game time because they play in a similar position.

Real Madrid’s stance on Guler now is good news for Nwaneri. The Arsenal teenager has proved that he is good enough, and he deserves opportunities in the coming weeks.
