Two of Arsenal’s Hale End academy graduates could be set to reunite in the coming week as the transfer window ticks down to the final few days.
While there have been plenty of recent success stories coming out from the youth ranks, such as Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman, there have also been times where others have had to move on.
For Emile Smith Rowe, that came last year as he left Arsenal to join Fulham in a deal that brought an end to his long-standing association at the club.
He was shortly joined by Reiss Nelson, who made the loan switch to Craven Cottage, but has since returned to London Colney.
There may be a move on the cards for him, though, with a move back to Fulham being lined up, which could see him reunite with Smith Rowe.

Reiss Nelson sends Emile Smith Rowe message amid Arsenal and Fulham transfer links
With Nelson waiting on a move back to Fulham this summer, he watched on as his former Arsenal teammate featured at Craven Cottage over the weekend.
Smith Rowe played a decisive role for the West London outfit, popping up with an equaliser from the bench in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
The Hale End academy graduate posted on Instagram, stating: “We keep fighting.”
Nelson responded in the comments, simply saying: “My boy.”
It shows the bond between the two, who could be playing alongside each other soon enough, should a deal get done.
Nelson was left out of Arsenal’s first two matchday squads for this season, certainly hinting towards an exit.

Emile Smith Rowe’s partnership with Reiss Nelson
All the way through the Arsenal academy, into the first-team, and then at Fulham, both Nelson and Smith Rowe have had quite the partnership.
The duo have played alongside each other 43 times in their career so far, winning 24 of those meetings when they are both on the pitch.
| Appearances | Wins | Draws | Defeats |
|---|---|---|---|
| 43 | 24 | 9 | 10 |
Both players are yet to be involved in a joint-goal, setting up or scoring from the other, perhaps setting up a landmark for if they reunite.
Nelson and Smith Rowe would be part of a growing former Arsenal core building up at Fulham, which includes the likes of Alex Iwobi and Bernd Leno.
