According to a report from Le10 Sport, Arsenal are doing everything behind the scenes to be perfectly positioned to sign Ligue 1 side Rennes’ teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga this summer.
The Gunners are in desperate need of reinforcements after what has been a terrible campaign in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta’s men are likely to be without European football next season and that is a massive blow for us.

The Sun revealed recently that the Kroenkes will sanction three big signings this summer. That could really be what Arsenal need, and if the report from France is to be believed, Arteta wants one of those three big money signings to be Camavinga.
The Frenchman, still only 18, has already made a massive name for himself. He is destined to be at a top club very soon and if reports are to be believed, almost every big side in Europe wants him this summer.
Camavinga will enter the final year of his contract this summer and he has rejected an extension at Rennes. He is expected to leave before the start of next season, but the report claims that the Ligue 1 outfit are unlikely to accept any fee less than £43 million.
Camavinga is ‘going to be a superstar‘
The 18-year-old was compared to Spain legend Xabi Alonso by Former Real Madrid player Cristian Benavente. (Marca) That is some comparison for someone so young, but there is no reason why he can’t be as good as the legendary midfielder.
Camavinga is represented by Jonathan Barnett’s ICM Stellar Sports agency. The super agent labelled his young client’s character as ‘amazingly strong’ and predicted that ‘he’s going to be a superstar’ in the near future. (MEN)
It will be extremely difficult for Arsenal to beat all the top clubs for Camavinga’s signature, but we could have a tiny edge thanks to our relationship with his representatives.
The teenager shares the same agent as Arsenal stars Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding and former Gunner Wojciech Szczęsny. That doesn’t mean we’ll get him, but it sure does give us a chance, especially as we all know how good Edu is when dealing with agents.
