Report shares Vlahovic's agents' demands to complete Arsenal move

According to ANSA, agents of Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic have named their price for Arsenal to complete a deal for the Serbian this month.

The 22-year-old is clearly the Gunners’ number one target in this month’s transfer window. Mikel Arteta and Edu are really pushing to get this deal done, but it’s proving to be extremely difficult.

Reports have revealed that Fiorentina are ready to accept Arsenal’s offer for Vlahovic, but it’s the Serbian’s agents’ demands that is currently holding up the deal.

Arsenal asked to pay £15m agents fee for Vlahovic

The report claims that a deal to sign Vlahovic involves an eye-watering transfer fee of around £60 million. If that wasn’t enough, the Serbian’s agents have demanded an additional £15 million to get this deal over the line.

That is an outrageous demand and the report claims that they will not be budging on that this month.

It is further claimed that Arsenal are not ready to meet Vlahovic’s agents’ demands either. That could completely ruin a potential deal this month, which would be a real shame for all parties involved.

The Insider’s View:

Vlahovic would be an incredible signing for Arsenal, but budging to his agents’ outrageous demands would be a massive mistake on our part.

Edu already knows the consequences of using agents to get deals done – remember David Luiz and Willian?

As great a signing as Vlahovic would be, paying £15 million to his agents would be a ridiculous thing to do. Their demands will only increase in the future if we budge now, during potential contract renewal negotiations in a few years time if we manage to sign him in this month’s window.

Edu and Arteta should do everything they can to get this deal done. But, if his agents don’t lower their demands, we should just look elsewhere.
