Rodrygo is very likely to leave Real Madrid this summer, and Arsenal are considering making a move for the winger, Arsenal Insider understands.
The Brazilian is enduring a slight down season, although he’s still scored 14 goals and registered nine assists in all competitions.
However, due to Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe’s presence in the Los Blancos squad, a number of clubs throughout Europe are assessing the player’s situation, including the Gunners and Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge admirer of Rodrygo, and the North London outfit feel as though they could be presented with a seductive market opportunity to land the wide forward’s services this summer.

Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo is likely to leave Real Madrid this summer
It’s well-documented that Arsenal would like to sign a left-winger this summer, to upgrade on the likes of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
Nico Williams is Arteta’s primary target, although the Spaniard is reluctant to leave his boyhood club, Athletic Club.
Thus, the Gunners are exploring alternatives, and Rodrygo could be the most attractive option on the market.
Transfer expert Graeme Bailey told Arsenal Insider that the Real Madrid star is expected to leave the Bernabeu this summer, and that Arsenal are lurking.
“Rodrygo is a fascinating one,” he said.
“The Premier League clubs are all being made aware of him, as we know. Arsenal and Liverpool have had regular contact in the past few years with him, checking on his situation, and obviously, he’s been a regular and wasn’t going to move.
“However, his situation now is different. He really is potentially available now. He can genuinely play both sides and has played both sides, so he is certainly someone who would suit Arsenal. They’re aware of him.
“He wasn’t at the top of their list of options a matter of weeks ago, but his availability has now come to light. It doesn’t look as though he’s in Xabi Alonso’s plans, which is why we’re maybe seeing these links.
“Against him is the price, maybe. He won’t be cheap, but he’s a terrific age and a terrific player. So it’s not a surprise to know that he’s on Arsenal’s radar. I’ve been told it’s 90% certain that he’s going to leave Real Madrid now.
“It does depend on price. Arsenal are probably one of three or four clubs that can afford him. £100 million has been thrown about, but I think there might be a deal there to be had at £70-£80 million.”

Rodrygo’s Statistics 2024/25
Arsenal signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona back in 2014, and the situation with Rodrygo is certainly similar.
An extremely talented player who isn’t quite the main man at a Spanish giant, the Brazil international could replicate what the Chilean did at Arsenal.
As shown by the data below, Rodrygo would add dribbling and carrying ability to a Gunners attack that often lacks these attributes.
| Rodrygo’s La Liga Statistics 2024/25 | |
| Appearances | 30 |
| Goals | 6 |
| Assists | 5 |
| Shots per 90 | 2.52 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.19 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.29 |
| Successful Take-Ons per 90 | 2.29 |
Very effective at getting on the end of moves inside the box, the 24-year-old is the perfect player for Arsenal’s system, which likes to attack down the right and then quickly shift the ball to the left, where there should be an overload.
If the Gunners can pull the deal off, they’ll have some player on their hands.
