According to Football London, Arsenal could sell William Saliba this summer after completing a deal for Ben White.
The Gunners had a bid rejected by Brighton for the versatile English defender last week. Arsenal are almost guaranteed to go back in with a second offer, and the report claims that Mikel Arteta’s side are edging closer to sealing the deal.
White is a fantastic defender. The Brighton star had an incredible campaign in the Premier League last season, and multiple top clubs are looking at him. Arsenal are the first to make a move, and if we’re quick, we can get this deal done before the other sides wake up.
The Englishman will surely improve Arsenal next season if he comes in, but do we really need him when we already have Saliba?
The young Frenchman is one of the brightest defensive prospects in Europe. He had a fantastic few months on loan at Nice earlier this year, and every Arsenal fan on the planet feels that he deserves a chance with the first team.
However, the report claims that Arteta and Edu are assessing the youngster’s future and there’s a good chance they could sell him soon after we complete a deal to bring White in.
