Arsenal have a phenomenal squad but many people still feel they need a new striker.
The Gunners are challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title, and one of the biggest differences between the two sides is who they have up top.
Pep Guardiola has Erling Haaland leading his line and the Norwegian guarantees over 30 goals every season in all competitions.
If Arsenal had a striker like that, they would become the favourites to win the Premier League, but unfortunately for Mikel Arteta, the forward he wanted rejected the Gunners.
Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko’s current transfer value
Benjamin Sesko was Arsenal’s top target early in this summer’s transfer window.
The Gunners identified the RB Leipzig man, who has been compared to Haaland (Bundesliga.com), as a potential option, and they tried to get him before Euro 2024 even began.
However, Sesko rejected Arsenal because he felt he needed another year of regular football in Germany before he could make a big move elsewhere.
Arsenal then decided against signing a new striker in the remainder of the window despite links to players like Newcastle United star Alexander Isak.
Now, if CIES Football Observatory are to be believed, Sesko is worth more than Isak.
It has been claimed that the Slovenia international’s current transfer value is somewhere between €89 million and €114 million (£75.2m-£96.3m).
When you compare that to fellow Arsenal target Isak, it is higher. The Newcastle United star is said to be worth between €76 million and €96 million (£64.2-£81.1m).

Who should Arsenal sign in 2025 – Sesko or Isak?
The transfer values above suggest what the fair price is for Sesko and Isak, but the market doesn’t really work that way.
There is every chance Arsenal or any other club can sign Sesko for less than £75 million next year, but it’s extremely unlikely that Isak will be available for as low as £64 million.
Both Sesko and Isak are phenomenal talents, and we would be happy if the Gunners signed either one of them in the summer of 2025.
However, if we had to pick one, it would be Isak.
The Swede is a complete striker who knows the Premier League very well and has proven that he can deliver in the English top flight. To add to that, Isak is a similar player to Thierry Henry, and that number 14 shirt is waiting for him at the Emirates.
We think Arsenal should go all out to sign Isak in 2025.
