With the January transfer window now here, Arsenal are looking to make the most of the market and any potential deals.

While the Gunners could seal some moves on a pre-contract deal, similar could happen the other way with a few of their own stars.

There are three players within the Arsenal team who could secure a move with a free transfer signed up in January.

So with that said, here’s a look at the players who could sign their way out of Mikel Arteta’s project this winter.

Which players are out of contract in 2025?

Thomas Partey

One of those who has just six months remaining on his contract is Thomas Partey, who could leave on a free transfer in the near future.

The midfielder joined from Atletico Madrid in 2019 and has been a stalwart when not suffering from injuries.

Partey is yet to sign a new deal, which means he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside of England.

The Ghanaian has been linked with a potential move to Barcelona, while other teams may also show some interest.

Jorginho

Another midfielder who could also leave Arsenal over the coming weeks is Jorginho – who has just six months remaining on his contract too.

The Italian international joined on a transfer from Chelsea in January 2023, helping out with some extra quality in the central ranks.

The 33-year-old has been rumoured with a return to Italy as well as a potential move to some clubs in Turkey.

It’s unclear whether Jorginho could sign a new deal with Arsenal, though he has hinted at a move to coaching as he approaches the final years of his playing career.

Kieran Tierney

Defender Kieran Tierney is nearing the end of his contract at Arsenal, following the club’s decision against triggering a one-year extension that was available.

The left-back has struggled with fitness and form over the past few seasons, resulting in his struggles and a possible exit.

Tierney has been linked with a transfer exit over January, with his former club Celtic amongst those who could be possible suitors.

It remains to be seen where the Scottish international could end up, but it seems increasingly clear that his future lays elsewhere.
