Very few players in history have played for both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The two North London clubs share a fierce rivalry, and no supporter wants one of their players to don the colours of the other side.

However, there have been occasions where that has happened before, and there is a chance it could happen again this summer.

Tottenham make former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun their ‘priority’ target

Folarin Balogun joined Arsenal before he was even a teenager.

The American came through the ranks at the club’s academy, was one of the best forwards at every age group and even earned himself a few senior opportunities.

However, in 2023, Arsenal decided to cash in on Balogun after a good loan spell at Stade Reims the season before. He was sold to AS Monaco.

Three years later now, Balogun has made a good name for himself at domestic and international level, and he is expected to move to a bigger club after the World Cup.

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna has revealed that PSG are looking at Balogun to replace Goncalo Ramos, who will be joining AC Milan.

That’s interesting on its own, but what raises even more eyebrows is that both Tottenham and Chelsea have made it a priority to get him.

Aouna tweeted: “With the departure of Goncalo Ramos, PSG is scouting for a centre-forward position and Folarin Balogun is one of the profiles appreciated internally.

“Heavy competition from Tottenham, who have made him their priority, as well as from Chelsea, also interested in the US striker.”

Who would you rather starting for Arsenal right now: Folarin Balogun or Viktor Gyokeres?

Arsenal fans will not like it if Folarin Balogun joins Tottenham

Balogun was very highly rated while he was coming through the ranks at Arsenal.

Supporters absolutely loved what they saw of him, and many were even upset that Mikel Arteta didn’t give him many opportunities.

Recently, when Balogun scored a brace for the USMNT, Arsenal fans lauded him on social media, with some even regretting selling him.

That is why Arsenal fans would absolutely hate it if he ends up at Tottenham this summer.
